Jekyll Island, GA

For January, the weather was warm and slightly breezy. I made my way to Jekyll Island, GA as the first stop on my journey. I wandered around the island and noticed how calm and peaceful I felt. There was Spanish moss everywhere and I love to sit and watch it blow in the breeze. I spent a lot of time gazing over the water and walking around Driftwood Beach. I imagine in the summer, it’s not so quite and peaceful. There were a ton of activities from bike riding to paddle boards and even a sea turtle center. Lots more to check out next time around. I discovered a campground on the island so that may be good stopover in the future when it’s a little warmer and I can experience more of the activities.
